Brighton, East Sussex

Our Brighton CBT Service is led by Mark Hardcastle, accredited with the BABCP as a CBT therapist.

The practice is based in Polegate which is served by its own railway station. It is also extremely close to the busy hub of Brighton.

Efficacy is able to offer both weekday and weekend appointments at our Polegate clinic – please do call to discuss your requirements.

Our therapists are chosen for their professional quality and their clinical expertise. For an assessment of your needs in the Brighton and Polegate area call Sophie in our Efficacy office. Sophie is our Client Liaison Officer and she will endeavour to answer any questions you may have and will help you to book an appointment.

Mark has be been practice for nearly 30 years having trained at the MaudsleyHospital,London as a behavioural psychotherapist in 1985 and accredited as a cognitive behavioural therapist by the BABCP in 1994.

He is currently the Professional Head of Psychological Therapy and Consultant Nurse in the NHS at Berkshire Healthcare and has held the position of clinical director with this NHS Trust before gaining his current position.

Mark works privately on Saturday mornings in Polegate, East Sussex.

Special Interests

Mark’s specialist interests continue to be with working with anxiety and mood disorders and in particular young people who are experiencing such problems for the first time. In the last 10 years he has also developed expertise in the psychological therapy of psychosis and working with family members of people with such illnesses.
